5:08 Do Boilermakers get free coffee? Do they need a card?
5:12 Why is it so hard for people to clean up after their shifts?

***************************So, before we go into our normal stuff, we want to ask everyone that came here to be a part of the ongoing discussion about a response to the swastikas that have been showing up to pick a time to discuss options about how to respond, like maybe an art show? Meeting scheduled for next Monday after staff meeting, around 6:15. This first session will be open to the whole community, so that the core group of people interested can check in with everyone who wants to share their thoughts. ****************************

Interns Reports

5:20 Ellie- Boileroke last Wednesday was small but rad. We got a karaoke machine!! In the process of acquiring tapes. Boileroke this Wednesday might not happen, not sure yet. There’s a show Friday @ 8pm, Dylan Morrison and the Deceptions.
5:23 Anna- Working on budgets proposals so that she can get more money for her projects. Still getting into the groove of her position as Social Services Intern, and writing her job description. She’s going to have a different Focus Topic every month—she thinks maybe for February it will be tolerance? Not sure. Tobacco Sessions still happening Thursdays at 4 and she won’t tell you to quit if you go. You should go. If you have other issues, she’ll be your middle man to hook you up with services that can help you. She thinks her issue in March will be tobacco awareness. In February, Tuesday movie nights will begin to focus on mental health issues and maybe be paired with dinners.
5:27 Elena- Lots of cool people have been interested in getting writer’s group back on its feet. She’s going to just start inviting them to meet the group—technical stuff like who leads and when will come next. Writers, please come greet these folks and stay involved—we’re on the brink of cool stuff here. She also did samples and publicity stuff at the co-op alcove last Tuesday, and it was awesome. Lots of people who talked to her then have been coming in during normal business hours. She’s going to keep doing the alcove thing at least once a month. Wanna help?

Manager Report
5:29 Cara, Anna, Ellie, and Elena built stuff with Habitat for Humanity today and it rocked! Chalkboard special notebook is looking cool. Can we make the chai have a logo? Next art group, let’s do it. Questions: What do we do when we have a no call no show? If it’s repeated, this will be grounds for being asked not to volunteer. Cara adds that volunteers need to enforce stuff with each other, too. Also, apply for the coffeeshop internship! The application period closes next Monday.

Staff Report

5:39 Talks about working alone/together. Autumn likes to work alone. Becky only likes to work with people who stay for the whole shift, including the overlap periods at either end. If you only want to work alone, cross out the rest of the space under your name. More importantly, dudes, the point here is that you gotta stay for the WHOLE time you sign up for!! Volunteers want to know if the drama stuff from last week is being addressed. Cara says yes, but adds that volunteers might not see everything that happens. Some things happen quietly. Have faith, Cara requests.

Board Report
5:44 Steve built coat hooks! This week was chaotic. A few people confided in Steve that they’re doubting themselves and really rethinking a lot of personal stuff—Steve is proud. There’s a board meeting tonight right after this.

5:46 Life issues

P.S. Drawing next week for $10 to Waterfront. Must be present to win.
