-Don’t mess with the espresso grinder if you don’t know how!
-Swastikas keep popping up here, still. When we do that in this space, we’re taking big risks with our relationship with the community. We depend on our community to support us… think about it…

Interns’ Portions
5:20    Ellie- Haiti benefit generated $400 in contributions! Music was awesome. Snowflake ball was less attended but also had awesome music and dancing. Last night’s band… again, awesome. Hip-hop open mic on Wednesday the 3rd. Next show is on the 12th.
5:24    Anna- Tomorrow night’s movie is going to be Thank You For Smoking. Then, starting on the 9th, Pat Perreau, educator and activist, is going to work with us on our movie nights this month. // Tomorrow night’s art group will be focused on making more submissions for the anti-tobacco design contest. // Tobacco sessions continue to be on Thursdays at 3. // Tobacco Fair date has been chosen! It’s March 27th, noon to 5pm. There will be a blood oxygen level measuring tool.
5:26    Jazzy- Made chai! Reminds you to pour through the strainer when you make it to avoid graininess.
5:58    Elena- We are now allowed to send one or two volunteers to the Co-op’s health classes for free. Next volunteer potluck will include donations from the Co-op paired with a quizzy/activity thing about egg labeling laws, presented by Autumn. Prepare to be astonished.

5:31     New board member Becky Shipley (!!!) went to the Chamber of Commerce meeting today, and is going to start being a presence there and representing our name in the community. Sweet!  // She also reminds folks that training shifts do not count if people aren’t there the whole time. // Next board meeting is next Monday, the 15th, at 6:30.

Community Portion
5:37     Azurite is interested in teaching dance here. She knows Middle Eastern bellydancing and African tribal dancing, and wonders who would be interested. Talk to her or ask an intern to pass on your interest and contact info. She’d like to start in April if there’s interest.
5:40    Deborah Shomer is interested in showing a short DVD on teen talking circles. We agree to do this after life issues.

5:42    Life Issues
