• If you are thinking about playing at the BR – awesome!  Check out this useful info: 
• 1. We never charge cover – all our shows are free, and all who play at the Boiler Room are essentially volunteering. You are welcome to ask for tips, sell cds, shirts, etc., however.
• 2. If you are communicating with us  about a show,  we would very much appreciate that the artist(s) playing or organizing a show gets in touch directly with our Music Intern and not through another person as this can cause problems for your show. It makes everyone’s lives that much easier!
• 3. If you are going to play a show here, please, please, please let us know in advance if you need us to make a flyer for you (we don’t mind making them as long as we have plenty of notice). Also, please let us know if you are planning on bringing additional acts with you or need us to find some local acts to play with you.
• 4. We prefer to have shows mainly on Friday and Saturday nights. We can be very flexible about this, but we (the Boiler Room) try to save some of our other nights for other activities (for example we have a gallery walk with a featured artist the first Saturday of every month and we have Open Mic every Thursday as well as a Hip-Hop Open Mic and other groups such as Writers Group, Art Group, Movie Night and Game Night).
• 5. The Boiler Room isn’t very big. Our max capacity is 49 people. So, basically this means don’t expect a hundred people to show up to watch you play. But realize that the people who do come will love you!
