Applause!

Shift perk drawing! Prize: Amy's magic espresso candle! Winner is.....NAIOMI!

Music Coordinator of World Domination: Show last week cancelled due to car problems! Dance party here on the 28th with DJ Collin.  Open Mic is totally awesome.

Volunteer Coordinator No-AH: Good job everyone! We've been open a lot and everyone is doing great stuff down here.  If you need help, ask for help.  Get yer food handler's permits! Keep in mind: Over the next two weeks there are people coming to town to write a tour guide. Not sure of the specific date, but if they come in here....We could be in the tour guide! BE SUPER AWESOME AND EXTRA AWESOME-ER! Concessions have been going great, we're doing super!

Coffee HOUSE (party) Coordinator Michael: We have a standing order with Sunrise for coffee, since we're selling so much.  Good job pushing the cookies.  Upsell the espresso, dudes! Every Tuesday the coffee order will be coming in—be aware.  Remember to always give excellent customer service.  Check the oven temperature! 325.  The timer is the 'on' switch, make sure it's on! We fixed the chai so it's not face-numbingly delicious any more.

Mana-GOR Ahren: Dance party, last Saturday of the month! They're super fun, tell your friends! One of the only all-ages things in town.  Don't forget about the 'Zine! Submit your stuff; turn it in to Becky, Ahren or a coordinator.  5/7, 5/14, 5/21 'Zine meetings—2pm! Be there! When people come to post things for the job board, we can't guarantee that they will find workers or that the workers will actually show up, there's a good chance that they will, but it's not a service that we can provide with full certainty.  Just make mention of it when people come in to post stuff.  Good job keeping track of everyone that attends events (including soup)! It's really important to track those numbers, great job!  Don't forget to write down the food that comes in for the free food fridge—Necessary!  Write down what shifts you've signed up for, so you don't forget! Remember, Noah is happy to make copies of the schedule for people.  ACES training on 5/7 at the end of staff meeting.  Thursday the 26th from 9-12, workshop on ACES at the Maritime Center.  Very neat!  KPTZ is looking to put together a youth volunteer program for people that want to learn how the radio station goes.  Marla and Ahren are helping them make this happen—KPTZ is excited to have volunteers from the BR since the BR volunteers are so great! Really great opportunity to learn engineering, programming, editing, tons of stuff.  Cahoots! Ahren has paper applications for this, come to Ahren or Marla with questions.  We sold almost $100 in cookies this week, that's HUGE increase! Good job! We made almost $800 in sales this week—that's so cool! It's only going to get busier! Talk to Ahren if you want to be in the parade with us.  Bring musical instruments! LEWIS WILL BE WALKING WITH THE BOILER ROOM IN THE PARADE.  It is known. QUUF donated $1100 from their congregation from the month of February to the BR.  THANK YOU!!!

Board stuff: Steve-Been really busy, so he hasn't been able to come look at the roof. As of May 1st, Amy Smith will be the BR Executive Director.  Kind of an awesome big deal. Still waiting to hear back from Espresso Rescue about the coffee machine. Last week, Julia gave Steve a packet about the property tax stuff, Steve is working on it! Still waiting to hear back from Medina. Amy put in an application for the BR to take part in the Taste of Port Townsend. We shall see if we get accepted.  There would be a sample menu offered to ticket holders if we are, and what a great opportunity. Amy is going to put spreadsheets together for the tallies we've been keeping for soup and events. NEAT!

Community Issues: The Rhythm Justice Event was a lot of fun! Poetic Justice Ensemble made $250, the BR made $37 from concessions.  YAY! Thanks to Gary Lilley for the shout outs.  There will be a benefit for the BR in late June from the Poetic Justice Ensemble.  There will be poetry and open mic at the Writers Workshoppe (we love them!) on the second and fourth Friday night of every month at 5pm:“Sing The Body Electric”.

Life Issues!

HAPPY BIRTHDAY BECKY!

1-2-3 I LOVE THE BOILER ROOM! <3
